Waste management, construction and facility management company Eggersmann Group of Germany reports that it expects sales growth of more than 5 percent in 2015.
The company operates numerous construction, engineering and equipment companies, including Backhus and BRT Recycling Technologie GmbH.
At a July 2015 press conference hosted by the company, Chief Executives Karlgunter Eggersman and Thomas Hein discussed some of the company’s achievements, including the construction of the Han Bogrov composting and biogas facility for the municipality of Sofia, Bulgaria. The facility began operations in 2014 and was designated “Building of the Year-Bulgaria” in that same year. The plant processes 24,000 metric tons per year of green waste for compost, and produces biogas from 20,000 metric tons per year of biological waste. Eggersmann Anlagenbau (EAB) served as general contractor for the project.
Additionally, EAB reports that it has been selected to build a household waste processing facility with a capacity of 410,000 metric tons per year for the city, with conveyor technology, rotary sieves and conveyor belt separators provided by Eggersman. The plant is expected to begin operations in August 2015.
